Delta State Commissioner for secondary education, Mrs Rose Ezewu has said the ministry under her watch was not aware of recent redeployment of teachers and principals in the state’s own secondary schools.

Mrs Ezewu disclosed this today in her office at Prof Chike Edozien secretariat while reacting to some issues concerning the ministry and its affiliates.

The commissioner while speaking on issue concerning the welfare of teachers and principals in the state, emphasized that the State government through her MORE agenda, would take cognizance of the welfare of administrators and staff of secondary schools in the state.

She noted that the ministry of secondary education which oversees the affairs of the Post Primary Education Board, was not aware of any recent posting of teachers and principals by the board.

Mrs Ezewu who posited that there were procedures to redeployment of teachers in the state, warned that any posting made without due process would be investigated and reversed with immediate effect.

The commissioner while calling on those behind the rumoured transfer of teachers to desist forthwith, said appropriate measures would be taken against them if indicted.

She admonished every teacher and principal in the state public secondary schools to remain in their present duty post as she noted that the ministry did not authorize any posting.
