Isioma Hails Oborevwori For Transparent Implementation Of N3.8 Billion Welfare Fund

The Delta state coordinator of Widows welfare scheme and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Investment programme, Dr. Isioma Okonta says Governor Sheriff Oborevwori had ensured transparent implementation of the D-Cares Livelihood Support grants programme initiated under his administration in collaboration with the World bank to cushion the effects of the general economic hardship among Deltans

In a statement in his office at Asaba, Dr.Okonta, commended governor Oborevwori for his open door policy, disclosing that beneficiaries are drawn from State Social Register, cutting across the 25 local government areas of the state, irrespective of political affiliations.

He said Oborevwori had directed all embracing implementation of the Livelihood Support grants process in line with his philosophy to serve as governor of all Deltans.

According to Dr.Okonta, ” the beneficiaries of the D-Cares Programme numbering thousands across various communities in Delta, are very happy with the governor for his humane and impactful leadership”

He said the financial empowerment would be sustained in the new year and urged the people to expect greater dividends of democracy as bountiful benefits of the M.O.R.E agenda envisioned by Governor Oborevwori.

“Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s economic policies are designed to put smiles on the faces of Deltans. A governor who professes street credibility believes firmly that the people deserve good governance in a practical leadership style that guarantees their material well being

“My office had been a centre of activities as we welcome more beneficiaries while maintaining due diligence. The governor wants everyone to benefit.
