The move by the National leadership of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), to rescue the Delta State chapter of the party from eminent collapse may have been yielding fruit.
The Apex body of the party may have received information that the incumbent governor of the state, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, is working under ground to disenfranchise perceived governorship aspirants to give way for his anointed aspirant, Sheriff Oborevwori.
A shocking revelation by Ofejiro Oliver, disclosed that Okowa allegedly planted one of his stooges and Chairman of the state Civil Service Commission, Chief Mrs. Nkem Okwuofu, into the South-south gubernatorial screening Committee to carryout the hatchet assignment for him.
However, the National leadership of the party, outsmarted Okowa, after spotting her name and subsequently pulled it out to give way for fairness, justice and equity.
On the old list Okwuofu’s name was number five while on the new constituted list, her name was replaced with Hon. Mrs. Jessie Balonwu.

Round 1 – Ex Gov. James Ibori knocks out Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa
The National leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party has removed Nkem Okwuofu aka Mother of Government from the PDP gubernatorial screening committee for South South.
Okowa put her there to checkmate other aspirants and screen them out.
Ibori made the move and a night to the screening, she was removed and replaced with Ibori’s choice.
I present to you the former list and new list. Her name was number 5 on the former list.
