2023: PDP Chairman Sues For Peace, Unity Among Members

Ahead of the 2023 general election and the local government council election, members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), in Delta State, have been charged to live in peace and unity.

The advise was giving by the PDP Chairman, Ika Northeast chapter of the party, Hon. Chuks Agbomah, in order for the party to achieve its set goals.
The political leader gave the advice while playing host to members of Ulor-Ru-Ulor sociopolitical group who were on a courtesy visit.
He said the need for party faithful to promote peace and unity amongst themselves was inevitable, explaining that in love, the party stands a better chance of making greater impact and as well have all members carried along.

We are all one and we need to live in peace and unity for our common good. I am a man of peace and don’t believe in fighting people. I have held various offices such as; community youth leader (traditional and political), two time councillor where I emerged as the legislative leader, Special Assistant and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor  before my election as the current Ika Northeast PDP Chairman. In all these positions listed, I have never been invited by the police for any case, all because of the peaceful part I chose to live my life.
“This is also how I intend to lead as the party chairman and hopeful that all faithful of PDP will toe same path to make the party a conducive place for all to dwell.
“No matter the level of grievance, we should learn to forgive each other’s misgivings for God is love and has directed us to be our brothers keeper.
“Therefore, for His sake God and that of the party, let us live together, work together to enable us take our great party to the next level”.
Speaking further, Hon. Agbomah, appreciated members of Ulor-Ru-Ulor for the visit, acknowledging that the group were determined and committed to PDP, but regretted that their mega plan to formerly decamp to PDP was cancelled due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
He however, assured the group of having them into the party structure so that they could collectively take the party to greater heights.
Earlier in his remark on behalf of the group, the National Chairman and convener, Hon. Emeka Egwuanimkwu, also known as Ominimini, congratulated Agbomah, for his victory at the party congress which saw him emerged as the local government council party Chairman.
He stated that the structures of Ulor-Ru-Ulor being represented at the visit by the wards Coordinators, saying that joy clouds their hearts having Agbomah, whom he described as a man of integrity, to be the new chairman of the party in Ika Northeast.
“We are here to formerly congratulate you and also appealed  that you integrate Ulor-Ru-Ulor in the party fully as we no longer want to seat on the fence in a place where we are fully committed.
“My people has been marginalized and also accused of been an APC group. But to the glory of God, we have remain focused and not distracted by the antics of our detractors.
“We have done much to contribute to the landslide victory of our maximum leader, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and we take pride in working for him,” he added.
He prayed God to grant the party chieftain a successful and hitch free administration.
