Ahead of the May 7th 2022 primaries of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), former governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, has expressed faith in Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, to make the right decision.

Chief Ibori, stated this at the weekend during the formal declaration of the national chairman of Delta Central 2023 (DC-23), Senator Ighoyota Amori, to run for the Senate come 2023 in Mosogar, Ethiope west local government area of the state.

Ibori, who extolled the sterling leadership quality, said he has no doubt in the incumbent to manage the transition process, admitting that politics sometimes is wider and poses challenges to whoever is managing it.

“Our governor, Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, is a man with the intellect, a sound reasoning and judgement.

“The capacity, the knowledge of the politics of the state and credibility to manage the transition at all levels.

“Local government, House of Assembly, House of Representatives, the Senate and the governorship. I have no doubt whatsoever in my mind. All we need to do is to pray for him and advise him.

“Ket God give him the wisdom to manage a ranchor free process in PDP and I have no doubt in my mind that he will do it successfully by the grace of God”.

On the senatorial ambition of Amori, Ibori said: “Please, join hands with me. Support him to go to the senate. I know that some of you from your various houses will probably be thinking, please have a rethink, I am begging of you.

“Ibori is begging you and you are refusing? Please, support me to send Senator Ighoyota Amori to the Senate.

“I want to say it again that this senatorial race, this Senator Amori”s bid, is my bid. Please, join hands with me and join hands with senator Amori to the Senate”, he pleaded.
