Former Chairman, Oshimili south council, Obi Kelvin Ezenyili has secured the chairmanship ticket of the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), for his re-election as chairman of the council.

Obi emerged the party’s flag bearer at the primary election held at the Stephen Keshi Indoor Sports Complex, Asaba, Delta State, to select its candidate for the upcoming local government council polls.

The young but vibrant politician, in a landmark victory, picked the ticket to emerged as the party’s candidate.

Ezenyili, in his victory speech, dedicated his win to the late Asagba of Ahaba and promised to uphold his core values of humility and service.

The unity and peaceful conduct displayed by the delegates were highlighted as a testament to the strength of democracy within the PDP.

Hon. Darlington Nnamdi Ijeh commended the democratic process, praising the transparency and fairness of the primary.

The successful event marks a significant milestone for Oshimili South, heralding a promising future under the leadership of Hon. Ezenyili Kelvin Obi.

The primary, was attended by esteemed dignitaries such as DISEC Officer Hon. Rex Ugbakpa, House of Assembly representative Barr. Bridget Anyafulu, and Commissioner of Culture and Tourism Hon. Dr. Darlington Nnamdi Ijeh, saw Hon. Ezenyili emerge victorious with a resounding 392 votes.

His landslide win underscored the overwhelming confidence and support from party delegates.

Chief Dada Okonji, Oshimili South PDP chairman, warmly welcomed all attendees and expressed gratitude for the event’s success. He, along with other leaders, emphasized the importance of using positions wisely and working for the progress of Oshimili South.
