The Court of Appeal, Lagos Division has upheld the victory of Francis Waive, the member representing Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Okpe Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives.
A judgment delivered on Wednesday November 1st 2023, Justice Olubunmi Oyewole upheld the victory of Waiver at the February 25th Presidential election.
It would be recall that the State House of Assembly and National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal, had sacked Waive over his academic records.
It declare the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), candidate, Solomon Awhinawhi, winner of the election in a judgment delivered on September 11th 2023.
However, the Appeal Court had set aside the judgment of the tribunal and upheld the victory of Waive at the poll.
