APC Names Oshiohmole’s Successor

Few hours after the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, upheld the suspension of the embattled National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiohmole, the party, has picked Senator Abiola Ajimobi, as the acting National Chairman of the party.

The aggrieved former Edo State governor, Comrade Oshiohmole, was sacked Tuesday by the Court of Appeal.

The immediate appointment of Senator Ajimobi, followed the fact that there is no vacuum in government as Oshiohmole’s ward and local government chapters of the party had earlier suspended him over alleged unruly conduct as national chairman of the ruling party in Nigeria.

The appointment was contained in a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, of the party on Tuesday night.
