Mulade Eulogizes Former Delta Governor @62, Says He Is A Monumental Achiever, Trail Blazer

Thirteen years down the line, the administration of Chief James Onanefe Ibori, has not been surmounted by any other government since the creation of Delta State.

An environmental activist cum a United Nations (UN) Global Peace Ambassador, Comrade Sheriff Mulade, has extolled the former governor of the state, Chief Ibori on his 62 birthday anniversary.

Ambassador Mulade, who is the National Coordinator and Chief Executove Officer (CEO), Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), congratulated Chief Ibori, for his outstanding achievements as former governor of the state

Chief Mulade who is also the ‘Ibe-Sorimowei, a traditional title holder of the Great Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, described Chief Ibori, as a man whose achievements while he held sway as governor between 1999 to 2007 speaks volume and are monumental across all parts of the state.

He opined that since his coming onboard and exit as governor after his successful tenure, Delta hasn’t had it like his time with development in all facets of the state.

According to him, Chief Ibori, is a trailblazer fondly referenced by his admirers as the founder of modern Democratic Development in Delta.

The CEPEJ National Coordinator cum CEO, stressed that while holding sway as the number one man in state, Chief Ibori, was a watershed of projects. 

“It is on record that he constructed the gigantic Bomadi Bridge in Bomadi local government area and Amadino Bridge in Warri south local government area thereby opening the communities to vehicular civilization as well as boosting the economic activities of that part of the state. 

“Chief Ibori also fast tracked the construction of roads in Warri, Asaba, Agbor, Kwale, Ughelli, Isoko and across the North, Central and southern  Parts of the state”, the philanthropist said.

He pointed out that Chief Ibori is a lover of peace, noting that the Warri crises which he inherited prior to his administration, he made sure he restored peace among Ijaws and Itsekiri as well as their neighbours which the area now enjoy as a result of his strong commitment to promoting unity, love among ethnic groups in the state.

The Ibe-Sorimowei of the great ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom said “God will continue to make the former Governor who brought modern Democratic development and progress to soar higher as he celebrates his birthday anniversary.

“I wished you great things and good health, peace and joy in his life endeavours”, Mulade said.
