Ughelli South PDP Chieftain Congratulates Izeze On Appointment

A chieftain of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), in Ughelli south local government area of Delta State, Hon. Oteri Homes has congratulated the immediate past member who represented Ughelli South State Constituency in Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), Hon. Rume Yakubu Reuben Izeze, on his appointment as the Commissioner for Works (Higher and Urban Roads).

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Kingsley Emu on Tuesday night, unveiled the designations of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s commissioners after they were sworn-in.

In a congratulatory note, the PDP juggernaut cum unblemish young philanthropist, foldly addressed by his teeming supporters as Ghanabar, said he believed Izeze’s track record of promoting economic growth in State, construction of roads and other gestures he had done in time past, would benefit Oginibo, Ughelli south and the generality of the State.

The owner of Ghana-bar Hotel, a five-star hospitality industry in Edjophen, expressed hope that the Commissioner who was described as “a no nonsense man”, during the swearing-in, would prioritize Ughelli south challenges in the area of roads, and welcome feedback from them.

He urged the new State Executive Council (SEC) member to hit the ground running by addressing the deplorable state of roads across the State.

Speaking in an interview at the sideline, Hon. Homes expressed absolute confidence in his capacity as a former lawmaker and a grassroot politician to deliver on his new roles.

He said that the suffering, road users are subjected to particularly farmers has impacted negatively on the cost farm produce.

“We hope and believe that the new Commissioner, will do the needful to restore the Ministry’s dwindling public image by encouraging the State government to carry out massive road construction and rehabilitation of old ones across the State.

“Farmers need to bring their farm produce to the town particularly the market to enable them get to the final consumers.

“While congratulating Izeze as the new Commissioner, I urge him to hit the ground running” he said.
