Delta Deputy Governor Eulogizes Late Ebonka

Delta State Deputy Governor, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro said a huge gap has been created by the demise of the first democratically elected Deputy Governor of the state, Late Evangelist Simeon Ebonka.

Deacon Otuaro stated this while paying tribute to the Late Ebonka, at His Service of songs in Owa Model Primary School, Boji Boji Owa, Ika north east local government area of the state.

Deacon Otuaro, said the state would undoubtedly miss the fatherly role Mr Ebonka exemplified when he was a Deputy Governor and prayed God to console his family.

A former Acting Governor of the state, Honourable Prince Sam Obi, also described the late Ebonka, as a dependable, astute, calm and calculated politician who was a father to all.

He recalled how the first democratically elected governor Ebonka, made him accept Jesus Christ and ensured he engaged in the propagation of the gospel.

For the legal colossus, the former Deputy Governor of the state, Professor Amos Utuama, Simeon Ebonka was a fulfilled, contented man who served the state diligently and contributed his quota to the development of the state.

The Pioneer Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Honourable Emmanuel Okoro recalled that Simeon Ebonka was elected Deputy Governor on the platform of the Social Democratic Party in 1991 and he worked closely with the then Governor late Chief Felix Ibru in building the state.

He extolled his humility and obedience to his boss, late Chief Felix Ibru, as well as his salient advice to the legislature.

Earlier in a sermon, Pastor Gabriel Chuks of the Living Messiah Ministry urged Christians to prepare for eternity no matter one’s achievements in life.

For him, death is inevitable as everyone will die and face judgment.
