When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice.
This is what the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, is coming to do in the oil rich Delta State come May 29th 2023.
Gbagi, a former minister of State for education, blessed with an entrepreneurial mind, knows what to do boost the internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the state.
God has endowed the largest private investor with talents that he is able to nose for business locations across the state and what they are able to yield annually.
Speaking recently at a welcome ceremony organized in his honour by the Okobaro of Ughievwen kingdom, he assured Deltans that their suffering would come to an end come May 2023.
He said: “One of the things I want us to remember is that you cannot out something on nothing. My position is clear, by the grace of God, the suffering of the people of Delta State will end on May 2023.
“If we have been playing the same game in the state for sometime now and we are not getting results, our youths are becoming hopeless, our mothers are becoming desperate, hunger has plagued the state called Delta, it is because they have done their best but their best is the begining of somebody who knows what to do.
“Poverty has plagued our parents, brothers and sisters that they cannot send their children to school anymore and I stated emphatically that Delta State, starting from May 2023, every Delta child will have free education to University level.
“Because of the level of impoverishment of our youths, I have said that to cushion the effect, I will pay our Delta youths N30, 000 to start. Today, I pride myself that over 6000 youths are earning their source of livelihood in Delta State through my investments”.
He urged Deltans to ask those vying for the governorship position what they have on ground and have done to put food on the table of the teeming youths roaming the street.
“When it is time for politics, they lie to you because they don’t have what I have, they are afraid of me. Let them come and sell themselves to you, let them come for a debate so we can know them, know their sources of income, their businesses and academic qualifications”.
He charged them to vote for SDP for gainful employment, good hospitals, schools and a guaranty future for their children and children yet unborn.
