With the PDP historically dominating Delta’s political landscape, the symbolic takeover is raising eyebrows, especially as the APC already maintains its own physical presence across the state.
“What exactly is going on?” one political insider asked. “Are these buildings the personal property of the Governor, the State Government, or the PDP? And why are PDP members championing APC’s agenda without involving APC leadership?”
The situation has become even more unsettling with reports of PDP ward and unit-level meetings subtly promoting President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, without any formal invitation or collaboration with established APC stakeholders in those areas.

A notable example is the incident involving Erhiatake Ibori, daughter of former Delta State Governor, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, who reportedly replaced the logo of the PDP Local Government Secretariat with that of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
