A housewife identified as Mrs Nene Fortune Stephens, has purportedly tortured her housemaid, identified as Miss Joy Akom Adola, to death in Lagos State.
It was gathered that trouble started on that fateful day over argument on salary arrears at number 18 Ogundola street, Bariga Lagos.
Mrs. Stephens is cooling her heels at the Police station for murder.
She was alleged of torturing her maid, Miss Adole from Benue state to death over a dispute about salary arrears and alleged stealing of Indomie noodles.
After realizing the girl had given up the ghost, Mrs. Stephens with the help of her husband purportedly hung the poor girl and went to the police with claims that she had committed suicide.
The girl’s relatives who were aware of the acrimony between the madam and the maid raised an alarm and police investigations showed it was an alleged murder case.
The girl had numerous bodily wounds, her feet were on the ground.
The Autopsy report later showed she was hung after she had given up the ghost.
Mrs Stephens would soon be in court.
