In a chilling act of domestic violence, a young girl named Onyinye and her mother have been accused of beating the family’s patriarch to death in Sapele, Delta State, after he questioned his daughter’s second pregnancy outside wedlock.

The tragic incident unfolded along Urhobo Road, where the deceased, a commercial tricycle operator, was said to have confronted Onyinye over her latest pregnancy by a man he reportedly never met.

Tempers flared, and what began as a reprimand spiraled into fatal violence.

Witnesses say Onyinye launched a physical attack on her father in a fit of rage. Shockingly, her mother allegedly locked the door and joined in the assault, preventing any escape or intervention.

The brutal beating ended when the victim collapsed, striking his head fatally on the floor.

By the time concerned neighbours forced their way in, the man was already dead.

Local sources confirmed that the police were alerted and promptly arrested both suspects.

However, in a disturbing twist, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, claimed the incident had not yet been officially reported.

The community remains in shock, grappling with the gruesome reality of a family torn apart by violence from within.
