Lawyer Petitions PDP Chair, Others Over Allege Forgery

Warri based legal practitioner and human rights activist Chief Robinson Ariyo Esq. has petitioned some members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP from  Bowen Ward 6, Warri South LGA, Delta State, those Chief Ariyo petitioned as contained in his letter include Mr. Kenneth George, Warri South PDP Chairman, Mr. Johnson Agbeyegbe, Mr. Blankson Harold, Desmond Onogun and  Mr. Hope George and their associates for conspiracy and fabrication of evidence, forgery of document intended to be used as evidence being a process of court as well as fraudulent procurement of document and for also forging the result of Ward Congress of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Bowen Ward 6, Warri South LGA, Delta State with the intention of using same as evidence contrary to provisions of sections 516 and 516(a); 120 (1) & (2), 467 (4) (c), (d) & (e), 471, and 473 of the criminal code LAW, CAP C21, LAWS OF DELTA STATE OF NIGERIA.

Chief Ariyo in a petition emanating from Ariyo & Co chamber through his counsel partner, Dokpegboritse J. Atotuomah, Esq., For: Robinson Ariyo & Co. also to the Police Area Command Warri noted that the forged document is attached and marked as “Annexure AA”.to the petition submitted to the Police Area Command Warri for action.

According to Chief Ariyo counsel partner the accused suspects Hope George, Johnson Agbeyegbe, Harold Blankson, Kenneth George, Desmond Onogun and others accused in the allegation filed the alleged forged document in evidence before the Delta State High Court, Warri Judicial Division contrary to the provisions of sections 516 and 516(a); 120 (1) & (2), 467 (4) (c), (d) & (e), 471, and 473 of the criminal code LAW, CAP C21, LAWS OF DELTA STATE OF NIGERIA as stated.

The petitioner disclosed in its petition that the documents forged is an original of INEC certified result  copy stating further “That unfortunately for the suspects in this matter, the genuine copy of the said document issued by the statutory supervisor of the exercise, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is available in its Certified True Copy (CTC) state and same is now attached to this petition and marked as “Annexure BB” for the avoidance of any doubt.

“That the said suspects have boasted of their vast connections and influence within government and the Nigeria Police Force and that they can do anything and go away with it. 

“Consequent upon the above development, as a law abiding citizen of this country who is obliged to report the commission of offences within his knowledge to security operatives and follow up on such, our client is encouraged to submit this petition to your good offices with a plea that your offices swing into action and apply the law accordingly with a view to unravelling the alleged offences as an exemplary measure to discourage crimes of this nature and the corruption of the justice system.

“Our client is willing and prepared to furnish your good offices with further information that may be required in the investigation process.

“We repose confidence in your good offices and anticipate your usual swift and smooth response in matters of this nature”, the petition stated. 

The Ariyo & Co in the petition also copied the Chairman  independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof. Yakubu Mahmud at its headquarters, Abuja.
