Imo State Attorney General Cyprian Akaolisa Removed from Office with Immediate Effect
In a surprising move, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has approved the immediate dismissal of Cyprian Akaolisa from his dual roles as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.
The announcement was made via an official statement released by the Commissioner for Information, Strategy and Public Orientation, Declan Emelumba.
The statement further directed Mr. Akaolisa to hand over all government assets and documents in his possession to the State Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, without delay.
As of press time, no official reason has been provided for the abrupt removal of the state’s top legal officer.
