Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, has restated his unwavering dedication to the welfare, development, and future of Nigerian children.
In a statement released Tuesday in celebration of Children’s Day, the Senator underscored the vital role children play in shaping the nation’s destiny and called for collective action to empower them.
“Today, we honour the beauty, promise, and potential of every Nigerian child,” Senator Nwoko declared.
His message marked a heartfelt tribute during the national observance dedicated to children, emphasizing their central importance to Nigeria’s progress.
Calling on all stakeholders—government bodies, parents, educators, and community leaders, Senator Nwoko urged a renewed commitment to nurturing an environment where children can thrive.
“As we celebrate, let us recommit to equipping our children with the tools they need, education, protection, and love, to build a better future,” he stated.
Education, he emphasized, is the most transformative investment in children. He advocated for increased educational funding, enhanced teacher training, and expanded access to quality learning, particularly for children in rural and underserved areas.
Beyond education, Senator Nwoko highlighted the urgency of safeguarding children from abuse, exploitation, and neglect.
He called for the reinforcement of child protection laws and the establishment of community-based support systems that foster safe and nurturing environments.
“Children are the heartbeat of any nation, and their well-being determines the strength of our future,” he remarked.
Stressing the importance of emotional and psychological support, the Senator encouraged families to instill love and stability in their homes.
He also commended the resilience and aspirations of Nigerian children, urging them to dream boldly. “You are the reason we strive for a greater Nigeria. Keep dreaming. The future is yours,” he affirmed.
Senator Nwoko concluded by pledging continued support for legislative initiatives focused on child welfare.
He reaffirmed his commitment to enacting policies that ensure every child in Nigeria has access to opportunities and the foundation to reach their full potential.
As Nigeria celebrates its children, Senator Nwoko’s message stands as a compelling call to action, reminding the nation of its shared responsibility to protect, nurture, and empower its youngest citizens
