The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Paul Bebenimibo on his appointment as the Registrar of the Nigeria Maritime University (NMU), Okerenkoko.
In a statement jointly signed by the Council’s Chairman, Comrade Churchill Oyowe, and Secretary, Comrade Victor Sorokwu, the NUJ described Dr. Bebenimibo’s emergence as the product of a rigorous and competitive selection process, noting that it reflects his exemplary service, academic excellence, and dedication to public service.
Dr. Bebenimibo, a respected academic and former Head of Department at Delta State University, Abraka, also previously served as a Commissioner at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC).
The NUJ noted that his appointment is both timely and inspiring, and expressed confidence in his ability to steer NMU toward greater achievements.
“This milestone reinforces our belief in the progressive future of NMU under your leadership,” the Council stated, describing Dr. Bebenimibo as a valued friend of the NUJ and a professional whose integrity and experience will greatly benefit the institution.
The Council concluded its message by wishing Dr. Bebenimibo success in his new role and commending him for the well-earned recognition.
