Delta State Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads), Comrade Reuben Izeze, has officially launched the 2025 edition of the Izeze Bursary Scheme, offering financial assistance to 220 deserving indigenes of the Ughievwen Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area.
This year’s bursary initiative reinforces Comrade Izeze’s ongoing commitment to educational empowerment, with a 10% increase in the number of beneficiaries compared to the previous year.
Speaking on behalf of the scheme’s principal, Comrade Reuben R.Y. Izeze, the Secretary of the Izeze Bursary Board, Tisha Ejekanshe Matthew, ACA, confirmed that the 2025 edition will support 220 students currently enrolled in tertiary institutions.
To qualify, applicants must be indigenes of the Ughievwen Kingdom, enrolled in a recognized higher institution, and in their second year (200 level or ND II) or above, with a minimum GPA/CGPA of 2.5. First-year students are not eligible for this year’s bursary.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to share this opportunity with their wards, both within and outside Delta State.

Applicants are required to print and complete the form, and submit it along with a copy of their valid student ID card and Local Government of Origin certificate. Completed applications should be scanned or photographed and sent to any of the contacts listed above.
Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline for submission is Thursday, 15th May 2025.
