A Customary Court 3, sitting in Asaba, Delta State, has adjourned the case instituted by one Pastor Sunday Ogbogho, a clergyman with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), against his tenant, Kenneth Orusi, over an alleged tenancy agreement dispute.
The case, with suit No. OSACCIII/17/2025, was initially scheduled for hearing on February 24, 2025, at Asaba Customary Court 3 in Oshimili South Local Government Area but could not hold due to the absence of the Presiding Officer, who was reportedly attending a health training workshop.
The matter was subsequently adjourned to Thursday, April 24, 2025.
However, when the case was called on the new date, both the plaintiff, Pastor Sunday Ogbogho, and his counsel were absent.
Following their absence, the court adjourned the case once again, till June 26, 2025, for hearing.
It would be recalled that the tenant accused his landlord, Pastor Sunday Ogbogho of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, of illegally disconnecting his water and electricity supply, causing him severe hardship.
Following this development, the tenant, Kenneth Orusi, formally petitioned the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of “B” Division, Asaba, seeking redress.
This development, however, forced Pastor Sunday Ogbogho to restore water and electricity to the tenant’s apartment eleven days after the petition.
